Jacqueline Avant was tragically murdered in her home in the early hours of Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the couple’s Beverly Hills home (via NBC Los Angeles). Police came to the house around 2 a.m. to find Jacqueline had been the victim of a break-in that had gone wrong.
In the photos of the scene, you can see that the couple’s sliding glass door to the back of the house had been completely smashed. At the moment there are no suspects, but it is believed that there are several people involved (for TMZ). A family source told the publication that Clarence Avant was at home at the time and it is not known whether he was injured in the incident.

Jacqueline was more than the wife of her famous husband. She was a model in her youth, posing for Ebony Fashion Fair. Most of all, she was a beloved member of the community.
