Clemson fell to 25th place in the Associated Press college football vote on Sunday and has been in the top 10 for 97 straight weeks.

The Tigers (2-2) suffered a second loss on Saturday, doubling overtime in North Carolina. It also dropped 16 places from 9th place in the Top 25 AP announced by Regions Bank.

Clemson’s top 10 streak was tied to Alabama, the second longest run in college football and the second longest in AP voting history, after Miami’s 137 from 1985 to 1993.

Crimson Tide remained number one with 58 of 62 votes. Georgia, second, won the remaining four votes. Oregon remained in third place. Pennsylvania State University dropped from 2nd to 4th, Iowa remained 5th, and Oklahoma fell from 2nd to 6th.

Cincinnati moved up from 1st to 7th, and Arkansas from 8th to 8th after beating Texas A & M. Razorbucks is the highest-ranked as they were 8th at the start of the 2012 season.

That season, Arkansas lost the second game of the season to Louisiana-Monroe and was never ranked again. Razorbucks finished fifth of the season under Bobby Petrino.

No.9 Notre Dame and Florida closed the top ten.

Clemson managed to extend the week’s streak, which was ranked 107, the third longest active streak after Alabama (218) and Ohio (150).
