10 years have passed since the original line-up of The Relationships first emerged from the rubble-strewn landscape of mid-90s pop... A five-track EP ("Country Catalogue") and an album ("Trend") have come out on Twee Kitten Records of California, and a new album, "Scene", is due for release later this year.
A preview of this forthcoming set, "The Approach" exemplifies the mature and atmospheric nature of the band's current material. An oblique, haunting storyline is complemented by layers of chiming guitars and ghostly harmonies, as the song's protagonists proceed towards... what?
