Burglarised - You Can Rest Easy Now

"We first came across Burglarised a couple of years ago when we played a freshers week show with them at London College of Communications, having been asked by mutual friends Ivan Campo (the band, not the footballer), to join them in the line-up. We were, to put it mildly, blown away. We loved the simplicity of their songs, one after another utterly beautiful nuggets of pain and loss, but with glimpses of humour and, bar none, catchy as hell. As soon as we began running our own night, flux=rad, we got the guys down to play. We were not disappointed. We continue to ask them back as often as we think we can get away with.

Although it is hard to pick a favourite, “You Can Rest Easy Now” was the one that rang out above all the others initially, it's the song we all get in our heads from time to time, and the one we think of when we think of Burglarised, so it seemed the perfect choice. Enjoy."

Burglarised

Dan and Dan, the two remaining members of Burglarised, met in the year 2000 and it all began in the Market Tavern in Preston when Dan A took to the mic, Jamie Hitchman had a guest appearance on the Bass and Dan C made his debut on the drums.

From then it was a case of finding as many band members as possible to enjoy the fun. For Burglarised it has always been about the fun.

The Burglarised fan base has always been musicians. You see for a regular non-musical person it takes slick beats, big riffs, perfect sounds and beautiful music to entice them. Burglarised opitimise the opposite of all of that, with sloppy, slapdash, shouting, boisterous horrificness.

King Of Spain’s debut album, “Battleships and Aeroplanes” will be released nationally on April 6th 2009. The band are supporting the release with tour dates throughout January, February, March and April across the UK (and in Berlin).
