Sex Education started in Liverpool's ace glam, new wave 'n' electro night, Adult Books. Witnessing each week how skewed, sauced-up and sassy pop music affects the minds and morality of those dancing, they began developing their own tracks as a means to ruthlessly exploit the more enticing clientele.
Clocking in at almost six minutes, 'Get Sick Get Stung' is one of Sex Education's more laid back and spaced out episodes: An electro guitar epic meets Teutonic torch song- all shattered hearts and broken limbs; filthy promises and soar-away choruses. If it was a moment at a club, it'd be that final chance to slink across the dance floor to the person of your dreams. And, as the music ends, the lights go up, and they glide teasingly into the night, you smile, knowing you'll be back for more next week.
