Emotional, dark and hypnotic, “Another Day Over” tells
the affecting and melancholy story of a father losing his daughter.
Each night he dreams of meeting and talking to her, but gradually
the memories start to fade, until eventually she leaves his dreams.
A compelling, emotional ride through intelligent electronica. Complemented
with addictive, harrowing vocals, “Another Day Over” is
a unique piece of work.
The bonemachine collective grew out of Pompey’s underground
dance/electronic scene. The band, in constant flux, spent years pumping
out a heavy diet of industrial beats until things stalled a couple
of years ago. But rather than chuck in the Egyptian cotton entirely,
they chose to retreat briefly, re-organise their affairs and emerge
with a new and vastly superior sound.
In the interests of perfecting the translation of their meticulously
constructed bendy basslines and plaintive vox from studio to stage,
bonemachine have taken on all manner of weird support slots of late:
everyone from Lo-Fidelity Allstars, 65daysofstatic and Cranes to,
er, The Mission and even Sigue Sigue Sputnik have been propped up
by the live bonemachine experience. Just don’t call them Goths…
Indie-tronica

Sigue Sigue Sputnik v Si Heartfield
You wouldn't
know it from their history - a couple of albums and a clutch of magazine
covers - but while it lasted, Sigue Sigue Sputnik could have been
the most perfect band ever conceived. Signed for one million, selling
another, "Flaunt It" was the first rock record ever to feature
paid commercials; the first to show just how powerful a weapon sampling
would become.
Bonemachine
loved the idea of having a different take on one of their songs. luckily
SSS were happy to oblige, this remix of Another Day Over includes
the additional skills of DJ Si Heartfield (Geushky, Binary Nation)
adding his own unique percussion and bleeps).
NA
NA are a southampton based remix outfit and highlights the collaborative
work of Mike Spall and Luke Taplin, they first came to bonemachine's
attention after hearing the amazing remix of Plastiks 'Deadstar',
NA provided two remixes of the bonemachine album track 'Sleepy from
a bad dream'. Featured on this cd is the Sleepy remix, bonemachine
liked it so much that they now use this version in their live act.

executed. It's sexy, wistful and atmospheric."
Buzz Magazine
“A haunting and intense debut, A dark and persistant beat accompanies
the melancholic vocals, lamenting the passing of another day and another
lifetime. A flawless production of difficult subject matter.”

Magazine
"!the chilled out, relaxing sound of layered guitars and synth,
and penetrating vocals are
phenomenal. The production is flawless and creates a complex, intense
musical
experience, yet with the overall appearance of calmness, it truly
is beautiful."
UNPEELED (John Peel Fanzine)
"black, industrial dub-dance answer to The Beatles double white.
Exotic, experimental,
but hypnotically insidious"
