Diatribe have been described as Indie, New-wave Indie, Indie punk, Nu-Indie (see a pattern emerging here?)...and 'spiky' too, whatever that means. One thing is for sure, Diatribe are a dirty little cocktail of their collective influences. Marr-esque guitar licks, Brit pop swagger and the tendency to hit you with a wall-of-sound from time to time, Diatribe create shapes and patterns that can't quite be pin-pointed, yet sound oh-so familiar.

The Oxford 5-piece are familiar faces on the local circuit, having played it extensively over the last couple of years. After a couple of line-up changes, they have now found their own sound / style, and have started taking it further a field (in their very own gypsy-Transit).

Their past-times include pyromania, Fifa '07 and smoking.

They don't like the smoking ban, instant messenger dialect (LOL, OMFG ect. ect) and music-student bands, who get all the recognition they don't deserve ('stick your Art up your arse!').

Along their musical travels, they have been compared to Pixies, The Cooper Temple Clause, Blur and Joy Division; and have played alongside other familiar indie faces, such as Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, The Cribs and The Wombats.

Expect to move your feet kids!..
