Find Out is imbued with a fevered sense of urgency; kicking off with a blast of tornado shaped feedback that thrusts us hurtling into noise pop heaven. The song’s blend of intricate guitar work and shifting rhythmic complexity brings to mind an Interpol shed of distance and poise, or the immediacy of early Placebo, though with sincerity replacing cynicism. Vocalist Dan Buchanan’s desperate imprecations are delivered with an intuitive grasp of melody that transforms the whole into an addictive combination of pop hooks and Sonic Youth informed twin guitar frenzy. At barely over three minutes long, Find Out will have those who like their indie anthemic, but no less vital or intelligent for it, foaming at the mouth.
