London quartet, The Electric Cinema, release their new single ‘Heat Exchange’, which captures images of classic British summer days through a thoroughly modern filter. They are one of those great bands that tell stories with their music; every track conjures up images so vivid you can sense the narrative behind them.
Comprising of old friends, and brother and sister, the four members (Martin Gear, James Longworth, Dan and Rebecca Neale) make up one of the most exciting prospects for innovative music around at the moment.
Distilling the best elements of the Flaming Lips, The Sleepy Jackson and Sparklehorse, The Electric Cinema have created a dreamy landscape that's entirely their own. ‘Heat Exchange’, mixes squelchy bass with a singalong chorus that deserves to be heard time and time again - and you imagine they'd rather you heard it on the wireless than on MTV.
