In their combined lifetimes the four members of U.K. Surf have never ridden a single wave. However, even this indignity has not prevented them from taking the beating heart of epic rock and transplanting it into the willing body of the three minute pop song.Their first single, proudly released through the shifty disco singles club, is “stop the tape”, which takes equal parts shimmering guitar, rock steady rhythm, atmospheric keyboards and a vocal style compared to a 'lazy drunk 80s singer' (© comfort comes) and cooks it all in a pot of sparkling production, the end result being a delicious musical pie.
