The Park Race - Grape / (Yeh) Hey
double A-side release

Teenage dreamers generally come from small, community-based outposts where everyone knows each other and nothing ever changes. Based around reflective and ambitious song writing, The Park Race are no exception. The band hail from the diminutive town of Chesham, nestled into the heart of home counties commuter land. Each given the choice of becoming another faceless suit or one more drunken brawler, these four comrades drew a wild card and chose the less-travelled road of visionaries.

Armed with refreshing optimism, raw talent, and untiring determination, The Park Race have managed to hold it together as they transitioned individually from sanguine teenagers to focused men. That solidarity is perhaps the thing that gives the band such a unique perspective from which to see their surroundings. In a time when some say dreaming is foolish, these four revolutionaries dare to be fools.

Influences fling from far a field, combining the ambitious outlook of the Manic Street Preachers, the melodic folk sensibilities of Neil Young, and the reflective lyricism of Counting Crows, to produce a folk-tinged, indie rock sound to fall in love with.
